Empowering people with the building blocks to obtaining building estimation knowledge!

To enhance your building estimation knowledge, the PPiS skills workshop is an active way to start.

What Is PPIS Skills Workshop?

“What is the PPIS Estimating Skills Workshop about? Who should attend?”

It is an unfortunate fact that a lot of building projects, specifically in the less formal (residential) sector, go horribly wrong because of inadequately calculated costs.

Estimating Systems and Procedures is the first in a two-part series intended specifically for building contractors, both new and existing, and persons other than professional quantity surveyors involved in building cost estimating.
This workshop introduces the delegate to building cost estimating by exploring estimating and measuring systems and how they are created, as well as taking a look at the building landscape and common risk factors that may influence the cost of a project.
It takes a sneak preview at the second part of the series (The A-Z of Building cost Resources) before it culminates in a live session where an estimating sheet is created from a set of plans provided.

In short, this workshop equips delegates with the tools and skills needed to identify cost elements in any building and thereby creating the best possible environment to accurately price and as a result, manage, a project to a profitable conclusion for both client and contractor.

Please join us in a non-formal and relaxed environment and let us start estimating for better control!
